Sagada - for the fifth time

what's the worst thing that could happen when you're on a trip to the mountains with seven of your friends? your wide angle lens fucks up and you're left with a fixed 50mm prime. goodbye sceneries. hello tight shots. good thing it's a 1.8.

sagada. ~300 kms. north of manila. 300% colder than manila. sweet.

1st stop in Bulacan, after some three hours.

didn't get to take pictures in Vizcaya... too sleepy. Before we know it, it's Bontoc already! Bontoc-Banaue boundary is the coldest, I'm tellin' ya.

fighting off the cold?

matet's matching winter collection

saktong-sakto. sarap.

... and then sagada

off to marlboro country

the trail is too muddy so we go back and just...

receive whatever sweet & green produce Sagada has to offer :)

lach, receiving lectures on how to... uhm, consume said produce. intently.

lach, applying what she's just learned. dutifully.

eman does not want sweet & green produce.

eman wants alcohol.

emo resides in Sagada. I think I already said that

view from inside part 2

our last day is composed mainly of: walking, eating, walking again, drinking coffee, smoking cig and the aforementioned produce, walking.

and overdosing on the kawaii qualities of all the fat and lazy dogs there

after that, we leave sagada

and go to where the pinoy version of murakami's hard-boiled wonderland is: batad.

we met quite a number of Europeans, including one crazy Belgian in the name of Lowie. (Hey you Lowie! You still owe us 500 Euros dammit). Now sing, Joyeux anniversaire!

not much pictures in Batad. mahirap mag trek ng may malaking camera! i'm no hiker period.
