camiguin

It was just Luz and Vi before. I was artfully plotting my precious work leaves to 'toggle' between the two. For six years! I'm not complaining though. They are both very lovely. But my gene structure must have included that DNA strain... the same strain that instructs all men to NOT be content with just one woman, or even two. I, too, had to have a 3rd! And so... meet Min, my 3rd mistress.

To visit her, you'd have to endure 90 minutes of air, two hours of land, one hour of water and another 20 minutes of land. Enough to make you swear that for next summer, Galera will do. It won't, trust me... Here she is...

Misamis Oriental, in the ferry... going to Camiguin :)

Camiguin.

en route to Mantigue Island...

where we see a blowfish bloat...

... and deflate after a few seconds...

We also see some weed, but not the kind that you smoke you know... *insert sadface*

After some walking and a little swimming...

we eat these...

made by these kids' family...

then we're off to Camiguin's famous sandbar!
a bit cloudy, hence, the colours...

hoyi, what the??

it's the 2nd day and the sun is finally out...

and so obet decides to play...

and lulu does what she does best...

Camiguin:

after two days of sun and beach and alcohol and whatnot, we're off back to Misamis Oriental...

while we're waiting for our boat...

we wait some more...

badtrip si ate...

At the bus station going back to Cagayan...

help me find out why i like this shot a lot...

last night in CDO where we walk, have coffee, have dinner at P350 each (dammit) in an Italian restaurant, walk again...

going back...

This is Min...

This is Vi...

This is Luz...

And this one is my wife I'd very much like to leave but just couldn't... Manila...

Di bale, I'll keep my three mistresses na lang.

Sagada - for the fifth time

what's the worst thing that could happen when you're on a trip to the mountains with seven of your friends? your wide angle lens fucks up and you're left with a fixed 50mm prime. goodbye sceneries. hello tight shots. good thing it's a 1.8.

sagada. ~300 kms. north of manila. 300% colder than manila. sweet.

1st stop in Bulacan, after some three hours.

didn't get to take pictures in Vizcaya... too sleepy. Before we know it, it's Bontoc already! Bontoc-Banaue boundary is the coldest, I'm tellin' ya.

fighting off the cold?

matet's matching winter collection

saktong-sakto. sarap.

did i say it was cold?

bontoc proper

... and then sagada

Echo Valley

locals' cemetery

small resto just below our house. oh france, kelaaaan??

first dinner, with chef Gie

uhh first breakfast courtesy of chef Gie again

emo resides in Sagada, too.

view from inside :)

aww

off to marlboro country

the trail is too muddy so we go back and just...

receive whatever sweet & green produce Sagada has to offer :)

lach, receiving lectures on how to... uhm, consume said produce. intently.

lach, applying what she's just learned. dutifully.

eman does not want sweet & green produce.

eman wants alcohol.

emo resides in Sagada. I think I already said that

view from inside part 2

our last day is composed mainly of: walking, eating, walking again, drinking coffee, smoking cig and the aforementioned produce, walking.

and overdosing on the kawaii qualities of all the fat and lazy dogs there

after that, we leave sagada

and go to where the pinoy version of murakami's hard-boiled wonderland is: batad.

we met quite a number of Europeans, including one crazy Belgian in the name of Lowie. (Hey you Lowie! You still owe us 500 Euros dammit). Now sing, Joyeux anniversaire!

not much pictures in Batad. mahirap mag trek ng may malaking camera! i'm no hiker period.

All Saints' Day

Nov. 1 at Manila North Cemetery. All night shots and so, some of them are blurry... I just don't have the skills for night shots :(

on top of the tombs...

the word 'fuck' in a cemetery = "artsy graffiti." Not.

dined out after...

arwen covering her nose... says her pa's empty plate stinks... arte amp.

ma & pa off buying groceries so...

slide was crowded...

... so this kid found this spot to play in, where it's not that crowded, right?

tired of running after arwen

time to go home...

ciao!
